Time Square News (Karachi): Demonstrations were held in different parts of the city against the non-supply of gas, which led to the worst traffic jams and queues of vehicles on the roads.

Protests were staged in different parts of the city on Friday 17 Dec 2021 due to the non-supply of Sui gas. Citizens took to the streets after Friday prayers.

Demonstrators said that their daily life was badly affected due to lack of gas, especially women in the households were facing severe difficulties in carrying out household chores, food items could not be prepared due to low gas pressure. He is forced to buy food from the bazaar, which is an additional financial burden.

The protests caused the worst traffic jams at Liaquatabad, Tower, Qayyumabad, and the surrounding highways. The long queues of vehicles, causing severe hardship to the citizens.

According to reports, traffic police officials were also present on the spot and kept sending vehicles to alternative routes. As soon as the police officials dispersed the protesters after negotiating, after some time the traffic flow was restored.
