The Times Square News (Karachi): Ayesha Gul, the first female Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, took over the post.

Assistant Inspector General of Police Ayesha Gul says that according to international standards, the quota for women in the police force is 10% but in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it is less than 1%.

He said that women’s police station has been set up in police lines in Peshawar which is not suitable and he would talk to the higher authorities to relocate it.

Aisha Gul said that she would work for the rights of women, children, and eunuchs.

On the other hand, a help desk for women, children, and eunuchs has been set up at Police Lines Peshawar.
